Vinton, Louisiana

                                                                                                            March 7, 2016


                        The Mayor and Council of the Town of Vinton, Louisiana, met in special session at the regular meeting place of said Mayor and Council, in the Town Hall, Vinton, Louisiana, at 6:00 P.M., on the 7th day of March 2016, after full compliance with all requirements as to notice and otherwise in respect to convening of said meeting with the following members present:


                                                Kenneth O. Stinson, Mayor

                                                Bliss Bujard, Council Member

                                                William “BB” Loyd, Mayor-Pro-Tem

                                                Kevin Merchant, Council Member

                                                Paul Patin, Council Member

                                                Marcus Renfrow, Council Member

                                                                                                                                                                                    ABSENT:          None


            ALSO PRESENT:         None   


                                    Kenneth Stinson, Mayor called the meeting to order and reported that the purpose of the meeting was as follows:


1.        To discuss and/or transact business pertinent to water/sewer line to Vinton Harbor & Terminal District property.



                         The Town servicing a water/sewer line from the Johnny Breaux Extension Road to the Port of Vinton property with the installation cost of the line being funded by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury was discussed at length with the Vinton Harbor & Terminal Board of Commissioners and representatives of the Parish.


                        It was moved by Council Member Renfrow that the Town Attorney be instructed to review and make needed changes to the proposed Cooperative Endeavor with the Vinton Harbor and Terminal District to provide water/sewer services to the port property.  The motion was seconded by Council Member Merchant and the vote cast thereon was as follows:


                                    YEAS:  Council Members Bujard, Loyd, Merchant, Patin and Renfrow


                                    NAYS:  None


                                ABSENT:  None


                                    There being no further business to come before the governing authority, it was moved by Council Member Merchant that the meeting be adjourned.  The motion was seconded by Council Member Patin and carried.
