The CenterPoint Energy Community Partnership Grant program has offered opportunities to invest in local communities since 2003. In that time, CenterPoint has awarded more than $2 million in donations and provided funding to 967 projects. The goal of the program is to help cities leverage local funds to purchase needed safety equipment or support safety projects important to the community.
Today, CenterPoint is pleased to present, and the Vinton Fire Department is equally pleased to accept, a Community Partnership Grant for $2,000 that will be used to purchase Fire Department Ventilation Fans. Brad Coppedge, representing CenterPoint as Area Manager, presented the check to Fire Chief Christopher Vice The money will be used to purchase special battery powered ventilators used in various firefighting and other duties.
